World of Talents acquires IT secondment company Obvious People
Acquisition strengthens their ability to attract specialised IT professionals around the world
ROTTERDAM, 13 July 2023 - Belgian firm World of Talents is acquiring a majority stake in Obvious People, the Rotterdam-based IT secondment company that posts data experts and Salesforce professionals to large SMEs and multinationals. This acquisition is a logical step for World of Talents in further building a European, specialised HR network that focuses on talent management and HR niches with severe shortages of talent.
Obvious People specialises in the secondment of Salesforce and data professionals. The company will continue to operate under its own name from Rotterdam, where it posts IT professionals from around the world with companies in the Netherlands and Europe. Founder Dave Schmidt will remain at the helm.
Migration know-how
By focusing on an international playing field, Obvious People is also an expert in guiding talent during their migration to the Netherlands. By acquiring Obvious People, World of Talents gains a wealth of knowledge regarding international recruitment. This knowledge can also be used for other HR niches with significant shortages.
Joining forces
‘We warmly welcome Obvious People to World of Talents,’ said Steve Rousseau, founder and CEO of World of Talents. ‘It’s in our DNA to join forces with specialised players like Obvious People. They fit right in with our ambition to build a specialised network across Europe that offers the right expertise for HR niches with a major shortage of skilled talent. This acquisition expands our presence in Europe and immediately gives us new opportunities to apply their unique sourcing and migration model to other specialities.’
