We seek for an Associate Application Specialist to provide laboratory and pilot plant application support related to product development projects in collaboration with pilot plant operator. In this role you will design trials, evaluate (sensory, texture analysis,…), synthesize, report & share learnings (accurately) with the project leader to contribute to application knowledge building in dairy & dairy alternatives.

In this mission you will be involved in innovation and product development within the client ingredients portfolio in dairy and dairy alternative applications. You will help move ingredients (texturizers, cocoa & chocolates and oils & fats) from concept to commercialization while collaborating with other teams.

In addition, this position will require flexibility to assist project leaders in short- & long-term projects, as needed.

• Partner with project leaders to meet customer needs and bring technical solutions to customers with a strong presence in the pilot plant in collaboration with pilot plant operator.
• Assist with product demonstrations and serve as the domain expert during meetings with customers.
• Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
• Preparation of detailed technical reports & technical presentations reporting the application work done.
• Manage product issues and presents data to product development teams.
• Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Other minimum qualifications may apply

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience running trials in laboratory & in an application pilot plant
• Previous experience in customer support
• Excellent verbal and written (pro)active communication skills (synthesis, reporting & sharing)
• Spoken language – Fluent in English and French speaking would be a plus
• One or more year of related work experience
• Experience in product development
• Experience working in dairy & dairy alternatives
• Demonstrates basic knowledge on ingredients functionality (texturizers, cocoa & chocolates and oils & fats)
