We would also like to focus on learning & development in 2024. Through targeted training we want to invest in your talent so that you can continue to grow in your job, develop new competencies and expand knowledge already acquired.
Credit system
Each consultant will receive at least 750 credits starting this year and can use them for training as they choose. The more you grow in your career track, the more credits you can use. Below is an overview of the career levels linked to the number of credits.
Expert and Principal Consultants have a higher number of credits available due to their experience and loyalty to Science Talents. In addition to training courses, there is also the possibility of using credits to purchase a book, e-learning or specific training focused on your needs. Would you, as an Expert or Principal Consultant, like to outsource your credits to another training or method? New consultants
Will you join our team of consultants in 2024? Then your number of credits will be based on the period in which you start and your career level. You can find a schedule below:
Do's & don'ts with credits
Each consultant has at least 750 credits that can be used in 2024. You can look at the credits as a budget to attend at least 2 full days of training during the year.
Important to know is that:
- Credits are not transferable to the next year.
- Credits are lost when, after official registration, you do not attend the training without a valid reason.
How do I use credits?
It is important that you take a good look at the courses offered and decide for yourself for which courses you would like to use your credits. Depending on the course, it is possible to register immediately, otherwise you have to wait until an invitation to register is sent from L&D. This is always mentioned with the courses on this platform.
You can only register for a training by sending an e-mail to learning@sciencetalents.be. You always put your Career Manager in CC. You will always receive a confirmation of your registration.
How do I cancel a course and get my credits back?
Once you are officially registered for a course, you can only cancel it in case of illness, after confirmation by your manager or in case of an emergency.
It is important that you always let us know by email or phone that you cannot attend. You mail to learning@sciencetalents.be and CC your Career Manager. You also always contact your Career Manager by phone.
We need one of the following from you to confirm the cancellation:
- A valid medical certificate.
- Written confirmation from your manager at least 48 hours before the start of the training with a valid reason why you cannot participate.
- In case of an emergency (such as car trouble, a death, ...) always contact your career manager by phone.
Enrollment Policy
Each course has a limited number of participants. Want to attend a course, but all registrations are full? Then email learning@sciencetalents.be, and put your Career Manager in CC to indicate which course you are interested in. We will then review the options with you.
TRAINING OFFER
ONBOARDING TRAINING FOR SCIENCE TALENTS
During the onboarding training you will be introduced to the consulting business. Practical matters such as timesheets, absences, vacation requests, etc. but also your evolution as a consultant, our ambassadorship and not to forget the fun part of being a consultant. In short, after this training consultancy will have no more secrets for you. This training takes place at the Elewijt Center (Tervuursesteenweg 564, 1982 Zemst) and is given in Dutch. The training takes place from 16h30-19h followed by a dinner until 21h.
This training is mandatory and no credits will be charged. Below are the dates throughout the year:

- Onboarding 4: 02/09/2024

INSIGHTS DISCOVERY: THE JOURNEY (1)
This course helps you recognize that each person is unique, has different needs and expectations, and a different style of communication and work. Insights Discovery uses a simple four color model to help you remember your personal preferences and more easily identify feelings and preferences of others. During this training you will explore your own unique color mix!
This training will take place at the Elewijt Center on June 6, 2024.

INSIGHTS DISCOVERY: POWERFUL COMMUNICATION (2)
Powerful communication has everything to do with the right choice of words and timing. To best understand each other, it is important to assess the communication style and body language of the person you are talking to and to adjust your own communication according to that. This training focuses on communication, body language, how to give and receive feedback, how to convey a difficult message, etc. It will help you achieve your goals through effective communication.
This is a continuation of the first Insights Discovery Training. So you can only take this training if you have taken Insights part 1. The training will take place at the Elewijt Center on November 20, 2024.
Maximum number of participants: 15. Places are limited, so full = full! Consultants with the most seniority get priority here.

INSIGHTS DISCOVERY: DIFFICULT COMMUNICATION IN PROJECT MANAGEMENT (3)
This is a continuation training of the second Insights Discovery Training (Powerfull Communication). You can only register for this training if you have attended insights part 1 and 2. The training will take place at the Elewijt Center on June 6, 2024.
In this training you will work specifically on communicating difficult messages and how to bring these to colleagues or for example managers. You will learn how to adapt your communication style to the person you are talking to so that your message comes across clearly and is also interpreted correctly. The goal of this training is to teach you some tools that you can apply in difficult situations and thus achieve your goal through effective communication.

IN CHARGE OF YOUR OWN BRAIN
By the end of this course, you will have gained more insights about how our brain works and the effect of stress. You will learn to deal with all kinds of disturbances and get tips on how to prioritize and focus. Things that are covered during the training include: dealing with all kinds of disruptors during work, multitasking & focus tasking. You will learn to differentiate small tasks from large projects and then how to prioritize appropriately. In addition, the power of saying "no", planning & agenda management, the importance of good communication and solution-oriented thinking will be discussed. The training concludes with individual and group exercises followed by an action plan.
This training will continue at the Elewijt Center on March 21, 2024.

STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT
This coaching involves individual and group reflection on how to grow as a consultant in stakeholder management within the pharmaceutical, food or chemical industry. The coaching consists of four parts that continue both online and on location. It is mandatory to attend all parts within the coaching.
In addition to the training courses, there will also be some self-study. In total, spread over the four parts, the coaching will take about 20 hours.
Overview of the different parts:
- Part 1: Each participant will receive an intake brochure in March 2024 in which different cases are discussed. In it you indicate which case appeals to you most or is most relevant to your current project.
- Part 2: In April 2024, a two-hour online intake is scheduled in which you get to know each other and the trainer. In this, the framework and purpose of the training will also be explained.
- Part 3: A workshop will be organized on May 24, 2024 from 9 am to 5 pm at the Elewijt Center in Zemst. Together with two trainers you will further discuss the chosen cases and on the basis of exercises you will prepare a personal development plan with goals and tools that you can apply to achieve the goals.
- Part 4: In June 2024, the training concludes with a four-hour feedback and coaching moment in which you individually but also as a group look back on the course and your growth.

BASIC FRENCH
This course takes mainly place online and is offered by Cevora. Do you want to improve your French thoroughly? In 25 hours you will work in a group (classroom or online) and receive individual online coaching.
You can also use your online practice zone before, after and during the lessons. In this course you are welcome from basic level A1+ to intermediate level B2-. No idea what level you have? No worries, this will be checked off during the consultation.

E-LEARNING TECHNICAL WRITING
In collaboration with one of our partners, we are looking for candidates to test an e-learning on technical writing. This e-learning focuses on writing protocols and reports in the pharmaceutical industry.
You will have the opportunity to follow the e-learning and afterwards you will be asked to give feedback on its content and design. The e-learning is free and therefore does not cost you any credits, but can only be taken outside working hours.

CEVORA TRAINING COURSES
On the Cevora platform you can find a wide range of trainings. They offer language training, as well as training on wellness and prevention and much more. The majority of the trainings are available online and last half a day or a full day on average.

FIRST AID TRAINING
Our colleagues from Care Talents offer first aid training. In this basic training you will learn to administer proper care in any situation. Is someone in shortness of breath, has a serious injury or other condition? Then YOU can make a difference!
After the basic training you are a First Aid Professional:
- You are able to correctly assess the situation = problem analysis.
- You are able to make a decision based on observable facts = decide
- You recognize the life-threatening medical condition of persons = proficiency.
- You perform first aid while waiting for specialized services = technical skill.
The certificate
If you successfully complete this basic training, you will receive a certified certificate for this. The legal first aid certificate is equivalent to the first aid worker certificate.
To maintain this certificate, an annual refresher course for first aiders (4 hours) is required.
Please note: this training will only take place if there are enough participants.
