This role involves a combination of laboratory work and technical responsibilities related to equipment and machinery.
Job description
- Conduct various laboratory experiments using machines designed by the company according to established protocols and guidelines.
- Collect and prepare samples for analysis within the machines designed by the company, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety procedures.
- Perform tests, assays, and analyses with specialized equipment, always in collaboration with a scientist.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, perform regular calibrations, and ensure proper functioning of instruments.
- Follow quality control measures, ensure compliance with SOPs, and maintain high standards of accuracy and precision in all laboratory processes.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including handling hazardous materials, proper disposal procedures, and maintaining a safe laboratory environment.
- Prepare reports, summaries, or presentations with details on experimental procedures on machines, technical defects, and conclusions.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues or deviations in machine operation.
- Propose and implement solutions as needed.
- Install, repair, and maintain equipment, and conduct diagnostic tests.
- Interact with customers to provide technical support, answer questions, and explain procedures.
- Prepare service reports and documentation for each task performed.
- Provide training or guidance to customers on equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.
Profile
- Hold a Master's or Bachelor's degree in engineering, chemistry, or a related field.
- Preferably have 2-3 years of industrial experience in materials and production.
- Detail-oriented individual with a strong focus on documentation in the laboratory.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- A team player with a customer-centric mindset.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, scientists, or researchers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Knowledge of French is a plus.
