Managing hardware procurements

• Create and approve purchase orders
• Receive unique hardware assets

Deploying

• Add new assets to the repository
• Manage asset deployment process
• Issue and move hardware assets

Managing

• Manage hardware movements
• Reconcile authorized assets against deployed assets
  Schedule and run reconciliation
  Review the results of the reconciliation process

Managing contracts

• Identify assets associated with a contract
• Manage the asset collection and return processes

Auditing

• Prepare reports based on the asset repository data
• Perform physical hardware inventory
• Compare results

Managing hardware end-of-lease

• Identify the hardware whose lease is expiring
• Manage the return of those assets to vendor
• Update asset records

Execute hardware refresh and disposal processes

• Identify the hardware to be disposed of or refreshed
• Manage the disposal or refreshment process
• Update asset records

Profiel

Strong knowledge of IT software and hardware as well as five or more years’ experience working as an IT asset analyst

2 to 3 years or more experience managing staff

Strong knowledge and 2 to 3 years plus experience working with a CMDB and the specific business services that it supports

2 to 3 years or more ITSM tool experience, as well as Remedyforce experience

Proven ability and experience in executing strategic asset management processes successfully

Added advantage of Profound knowledge of licensing agreements involving software, including Microsoft, IBM, and Oracle

Strong vendor management and negotiation skills

Strong knowledge of IT Service Management processes, as well as experience with Discovery tool

Possess Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or business administration, or in other related field

Strong ability to carry out assigned tasks independently with little supervision

Excellent at performing multiple tasks at the same time without erring

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Possess IAITAM Certification, such as CHAMP, CSAM, and CITAM

Added advantage if hands on experience in SNOW software .

Collect and maintain accurate Software Licensing information in repositories to address budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contracts, and cost.

Develop and implement tools, processes and procedures to automate the collection, storage and reporting of key software data so that the products can be managed across the enterprise in an effective manner. Continuously assesses tool capabilities for software discover, inventory, and meter software use for key vendor products. Windows and Unix Engineering required and/or DBA experience in Oracle and/or SQL a plus.

Manage Enterprise License true-up & reconciliation. Provide support during software publisher audits. Assist with dispute resolution. Recommend audit defense initiatives.

Respond to requests from Software Owners, end users, managers, developers, and team members for specific IT Software Asset Management information.

Stays informed of new and updated software license models and options for key vendor products

Actively assesses risk and cost take out opportunities and makes recommendations to Software Owners and Software Asset Management leadership to optimize the software asset portfolio.
