As an Application Engineer, you will provide technical product support in close relationship with our departments Business Development, Product Management and Sales.
Whether receiving a small technical question or leading a big application project, you provide technical product support to the customer in close collaboration with Business Development, Product Management and Sales. This support comprises various stages of the business process:
Respecting the customer timelines, you prepare the requested information in tailored presentations and reports, either by collecting available information or by generating new data in our application lab. If required, you participate in calls or meetings to present, share and explain your information always with respect for the customer’s intellectual property.
To achieve the above, you work closely with the local teams (QC, R&D, production…), with your colleague (Field) Application Engineers (both in Europe and in the other regions) and if needed with external partners or laboratories.
You follow up on relevant literature and techniques, and you occasionally attend conferences to broaden and deepen your technical expertise. Vice versa, you share your results and knowhow during presentations or trainings, both internally and externally.
In order to maintain and extend our lab capabilities you are occasionally involved in the selection and qualification of new lab equipment.
During all these activities, you have an eye for continuous improvement to keep the company performance up to the highest standard and you comply with defined Quality, Environmental and Safety policies.

You have a master in chemistry/physics/material science or engineering and you have experience in experimental research. A PhD is a plus.
Experience in technology, production and processing of semiconductor devices is preferred.
Experience in technical customer support is a plus.
You combine technical expertise with a thorough business attitude and hands-on mindset.
You communicate and organize strongly, and you are a real problem solver.
You occasionally travel to support and collaborate with customers and partners.
Your professional attitude and expertise facilitates collaboration with colleagues, research partners and customers.
You are fluent in English and preferably also in Dutch. Other languages are a plus.
