Let's meet Astrid!

Hi, I’m Astrid and I’m 23 years old. I grew up in the West of Flandres and recently moved to Mechelen, always in the mood for good food and meeting new people. In my spare time you can find me outside walking or rollerblading, spending time in nature and being with family and friends.

What studies have you done and what motivated you to choose this? 

I have a bachelor’s degree Occupational Therapist. Afterwards I decided to do my master’s in Management and Policy in Healthcare at Ghent University. I was very eager to know how healthcare is being organized and managed.

My colleagues have already taught me a lot to become an outstanding recruiter.

What has brought you to Science Talents and what are your responsibilities? 

The last 2 years of my master’s degree included some courses about Human Resources. I found these very interesting and when graduating, I wanted to discover the world of HR. Science Talents gave me the opportunity to do so. As a Recruitment Consultant, I’m responsible for the screening of candidates and the Campus Recruitment. 

How do you feel about your onboarding and your first weeks within the company? 

My onboarding was very well organized. I had a warm welcome at the headquarters in Kortrijk and afterwards in Herent, where the office of Science Talents is located. My colleagues have already taught me a lot to become an outstanding recruiter.  

How do you look at the future? 

I’m excited about what's to come in the next few months and years at Science Talents.

I am Peggy, Recruitment Consultants at Science Talents. I have travelled a rather atypical course as I am a physiotherapist / psychomotor therapist by training. For the first 15 years of my career, I worked as a therapist in a psychiatric hospital, combined with my own practice where I taught aerobics, gave nutritional advice, aqua gym and psychomotricity. Then it was time for something else and I ended up in this world.

I am Tineke Verleye and I am 25 years old. My home residence is located in Dilbeek, the town I grew up in. I would describe myself as an enthusiastic and social person who enjoys being surrounded by family and friends. I'm a very energetic person and always in the mood for spontaneous plans or adventurous trips, it's something that makes me very happy!
