We are looking for a hands-on interim HR Business Partner in Yorkshire and the Humber (UK) to support a multinational company.

Job description

 You will be working directly with line managers to help them have and activate the plans below and ensure progress (rather than just crafting a plan, or offering consultancy).


Key role objectives:

I. Science Business Partnership:

1. Develop breadth and depth of key Science capabilities • Evolving capabilities for the Scientific Research team.  Capabilities have largely been defined and initial strategic plan has been developed and aligned with the Research Director. • Sharpen and drive the implementation of a future focused Talent Plan, clarifying what is developed in house vs external (and how), and forging necessary partnerships with TA and external • Drive organisation actions (with Research director) to increase capability, moving from single expert role to having multiple perspectives and technical bench strength in each key capability area. • Evolve the Operations organisation with the Operations Director to be fit for future needs . An organisation evolution plan has already been developed and the company is in the process of gaining approval so the focus will be on ensuring successful change management in partnership with Associate Relations.

2. Embed a partnership mindset and behaviour change • Evolve the culture and mindset from a more siloed organisation to partnership led (internal across the Ecosystem and external) • Implement a robust change plan to support key Associate groups on their change journey

3. Drive Talent reviews to raise the bar • Organise and lead mid and year end talent reviews, driving the leadership team to have and follow up on clear, followed up action plans on how to increase capability and mindset for the future Ecosystem Science needs. • Aim is to increase number of super-stars and raise overall talent standards, with increased pace II. Data & Analytics (~25%):

o Inspire and partner HR leaders in the business Divisions to become Powered by Data, developing change management assets and providing support to help each Division craft and drive their change plans. o Future workforce: identify and implement a plan to Invest in diverse future talent by identifying partnerships, apprenticeships, work experience, internships and mentoring to Infuse the new Data & Analytics organisation and provide coaching/ mentoring opportunities for existing Associates to start to develop people leadership


You need to have good influencing skills, to collaborate with a wide range of people and be willing to roll up sleeves and to get things done.
